Spring Break 2009

On our way to California we saw lots of "FAMILIES"(thats what my kids call them.)

And lots of Green Rolling Hills
And a giant metal elephant

And even some snow capped mountains
(are you sure we are going the right way to the beach?)

And we got to see a giant green dinosour on the 3rd Street Promanade
The best of all was watching the kids see the beach for the first time.
Austin and Owen trying to Boogie Board
We are burrying Owen
Can you see Owen??
Austin making sure he is completly covered
Owen on the Bummper Cars
Gage on the bummper cars
Gracie on the bummper cars
Jodi, Lilly, Mark, Klaira, Owen, and Austin on the roller coaster
Me and Gracie Jo @ Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
The Perkins boys @ Bubba Gump Shrimp
Me and Jodi at Venice Beach
Gage and Gracie carrying their sand in the buckets
Austin and Gage
Owen getting wet and cold.
Gracie Jo loving the beach
Lilly, Gage, Owen, and Gracie
Gracie and Gage love the beach
Venice beach, We are freezing
Seeing the flag on the beach made me think of the first people to come to America and settle here. I am so proud to be American.
Gracie, Gage, and Lilly playing in the sand!
Gage and Klaira Mae testing out the water!
Owen trying to find some shells
Gage playing in the motel room with his trucks and mat that he bought with his money.
Austin checking out the view from our room
For the trip my mom gave each of the kids $10 to spend in California, this is what Gracie got with her money, a bubble blower.
On Sunday it was so dang windy and cold that we decided to swim in the heated pool instead of the beach!
Gracie getting a pitty-back- ride!
Gage loves to swim by himself as long as he has a "noddle" he wouldn't give Gracie one because he thought he would sink with just one!

Wow!! So fun! Its so awesome and such a milestone watching your kid/s see the ocean for the first time. They looked like they loved every second of it ....and I bet they all slept good that night all worn out!
