I cannot believe how BIG he is getting!
I took Owen to school on the first day and when we got out of the car so I could get a picture I was surprised by the emotions that hit me. Owen is in JR HIGH. All that kept running through my mind was what JR HIGH was like for me. And yes I was scared to death. I know Owen is a really smart boy and I only hope that he will remember that when he is tempted with anything. I thought JR HIGH was bad when I was there but some of the things I hear now make me worry like crazy. So far Owen is loving it and doing very well. I only hope that the next two years will go by really slow because I do not think I can handle him going to HIGH SCHOOL and DRIVING! Why cant our kids stop growing now???

This summer Austin parents took on a summer job as camp hosts at Big Lake. We got to go and stay a night with them and had such a good time catching crawdads and just hanging out with the family with no cell phone service. The view was amazing!!

this year we all roped in the 2nd annual Bradley Dean Williams Memorial Bennefit Team Roping! We had a great time, Austin won a buckle and about $700 and Owen roped good too but didnt win any until it came to the Dummy roping and he was on his game and won the buckle! He was so excited and now cant wait to win one in a real roping!

In August 2010, my dad took me and my kids to ride up Mt. Baldy.

It was a day filled with gray clouds that made me really nervous. I did not want to get stuck on top of Mt. Baldy in a thunder storm. Luckily we made it with only a few sprinkles and the kids all had a blast. I hope we can go again next year. The top picture is the end of our ride.

We had so much fun. I rode rides I never thought I would have with Austin and I am glad I did. It was a lot of fun even though one of the rides had a malfunction and stopped right as we were starting up an incline and all the workers hurried up and told us not to worry, yeah right we were getting ready to go upside down and Lupe de lus. We were a little scared, but it all worked out all right. We had a great trip with mom and dad and Trina's family.

Grand Canyon Field Trip

In May I was able to go with Owen on a field trip to the Grand Canyon.

I haven't been there since I was probably his age and I had forgotten just how breathtaking and beautiful it is. We came within 30 ft of some elk and they were so use to people they just stood there. After we rode the train from the Grand Canyon to Williams and they had a musician for entertainment as well as some robbers which stopped the train. We had a great time and I love getting the chance to spend the the day with Owen. If you haven't seen the Grand Canyon it is a must.

Born Sept. 5, 1927 - Passed away April 10, 2010

I had the honor of Sharing memories of my grandma at her funeral.

I learned so much about her through others memories.

My grandma was a great cook, the Secretary at the Snowflake Middle School, loved to watch her grand kids play sports, loved the gospel and genealogy and kept a journal for most of her life. If she knew you and saw you in the newspaper she saved the article. She loved to write and read poetry. In 2001 my grandma was diagnosed with altiziemers and in April of 2010 passed away after a stroke.

Owen entered the Dummy Roping over Memorial Day!

He is turning in to quite the roper.

When we got home we were getting ready to rope, Owen went to get on his horse and she put her head down to eat and stepped through the reigns, when she put her head up she panicked and flipped over landing and then rolling on top of Owen. We had to pull him out from under neath her and he was instantly complaining about his back and his boy area. The neighbors called 911 for us and the ambulance was there within 15 minutes. Once they got him loaded they decided to call for a helicopter to meet us at the top of Pinedale Rd. Austin and I were not allowed to ride with him and had to drive to meet him in the Valley. He ended up staying for three nights and had a cracked pelvis, spine and some really bad bruising all over his body. Luckily all his wounds would have to heal on their own. All I know is seeing him be put in the ambulance and then the helicopter is one of the hardest things to go through and then he was barely able to move his legs when trying to walk on crutches. I want to thank RH, Colleen, Jodi, Mark, Uncle Bide and Aunt Pam for being at the hospital when he got there and giving him a blessing. He was so happy to see family and I couldn't stand the thought of him being all alone. Thanks to my mom and dad and Austins mom and dad for coming to be with us in the hospital too. Thanks to Trina too for helping with all the animals and especially the twins. All I know is prayers are answered and I am so thankful for all the prayers that were said in his behalf. For an update we have been back to the Dr. for a check up and everything is healing great and Owen is back on Chevy and roping too!!

This year Owen wanted an almost Pumpkin Pie for his cake!
Its a recipe my Uncle Blake made for them on a pack trip and Owen fell in love with it!
Its suppose to be made in a dutch oven but I made it in the oven instead and it turned out great! I did learn a lesson, when you put candles in a hot cake they melt from the bottom up! By the time we took them out there wasn't much candle left! Thank you to my Uncle Blake for the recipe and Happy Birthday to Owen!

Over Spring Break we went and spent the week in the Valley and Owen got roping lessons
from my cousin Steve Sherwood. We roped everyday for about three hours
and we had a great time!!! Owen is roping off of my horse in these pics and thats why we decided we needed a new horse. Now Owen and I can rope together!!

By the end of the week Owen was catching almost all of the steers and turning them too!

I think I have got myself another team roper!!!!!

This was Owen's first snowboarding trip. He went with the school and I got to go with him. Let's just say the lesson I learned that day was that I am not a snowboarder. I am glad I tried it once but am pretty sure I will never do it again, I will stick to skiing. I did enjoy spending the day with Owen and watching him, he loved it and did such a great job. I on the other hand was sore in places I didn't know could be sore. I am glad Owen found another thing that he not only likes but does well.

This was one amazing snow storm, We would get lots of snow and then it would rain and then more snow, had it not been for the rain I think would we would have gotten enough snow to be snowed in for at least a week. I was so glad the power stayed on because the first day of all of it Austin had to work and left me in charge of hooking the generator up to run the pellet stove, luckily I didn't have to, instead the kids and I watched movies and did puzzles all day. The storm started on Wed. but we were not snowed in til Thurs. By Saturday Austin got the tractor hooked up and some what plowed the driveway so we could go to the movie, the kids and I all had a case of cabin fever. The snow sure is pretty though, especially when it is untouched by footprints.

My kids are healthy and most of the time happy, Austin got a new job @ SRP which is hopefully a more dependable job, I have a roof over my head which I love more and more the closer we get to paying it off, (the perks of building a small home yourself), people are still shopping @ Mountain Blossom which means I still have a job, and this year for Thanksgiving I get to spend it with my family who happen to be some of the best friends I have too!

The kids found a new way to use the sleds! I love it because they don't get cold and you don't have all the wet clothes when they come in! They played all day on that hill and would go really fast , and as you can see completly got covered up! I love it when my kids find fun things to do outside!

So we have had this donkey JASPER for ever and my dad finally decided to take him to the auction and befor the 2nd day of school we went down to the pasture to catch him. I led Gracie back on the pony and Austin led Gage back on Jasper. We get all the way to our house when the other horses run up spook Jasper (who you litterally have to drag) and Gage falls off to the side.
He landed just right and ended up with a hairline fracture. On the way home Gage wanted to go to school for the last hour! (and I was worried about him not liking school!)

Bacon Bits @ the County Fair

We got Bacon Bits the end of May and he weighed 25 lbs, when we checked in @ the fair he weighed 220 lbs. He was such a fun pig and the whole family enjoyed him.

This was quite the learning experience for not only Owen but us as well. He was the one who feed and watered all day every day. Gave him a bath at least once a week and then rubbed him down with lotion and sunscreen so he wouldn't get burned and walked him almost every day. Towards the end he didn't think he wanted to do another one until we got to the fair and he had a ball. Now we are planning on getting two pigs next year. Any one thinking of letting their kids raise a pig I say let them. He learned so much, had to keep a record book and also profited quite a bit in the end (which went to savings to pay for next year). Thanks to my brother RH and his partner Terri for buying our pig. We appreciate it so much! And as for Bacon Bits, we think of you every time we eat Bacon!! RIP

The highlight of our summer for the past two years is visiting Stacey (dale),Jolene, Kaylen and Jayden in Arkansas. We never get to stay long and they are always @ the last minute but Stacey and Jolene sure do know how to show us a good time. This year they had just purchased their new houseboat so we got to tube, knee board, go down the slide a MILLION times and just relax in the warm clean lake water. When the days were done we fixed a yummy dinner on the boat and watched a movie and played cards. Here are some pics of our vacation, ok it's actually alot of pics but we had such a good time. So, till next year..........We love driving to Arkansas and seeing all the green, we swear on the way home if there was anyway we could move out east we would. Here is a beautiful waterfall off of Greers Ferry Lake.

Has it seriously been 10 years already? I have to say that even though I didn't actually graduate from Show Low I was glad I went to the reunion, and I am really glad that Sarah is still a good friend of mine and went with me. It seems like yesterday that you got dressed up to go to school and see that special guy, that the pretty girls were just that, pretty and no matter what they did or wore the looked amazing, there were the brain's, the jocks, and those who weren't sure were they fit in. I think this is what High School is all about, finding yourself.... After 10 years I have realized that I am this same girl, not sure were she fits in but would like to think that I had friends in every category above, I guess I am still finding myself. After 10 years not much has changed but it was so neat to see everyone. I am hoping I get another invite to the 20 year reunion and that maybe just maybe I have found myself.

I am so proud of my niece Brittney. In May all but two of my siblings went and watched her Graduate from Queen Creek High School. It was fun hanging with my family and really neat watching Britt, I can't believe she is allready out of school, scince this is a catch up, ahe has allready started culinary school in Scottsdale and is turning out to be an amazing cook, even though she could allready cook. So way to go Britt, we are all so proud of you.

I can't believe I turned 28 this year!! Boy does time fly. It was a good day though, Austin took me to breakfast, while @ work I got a gorgeous bouquet of flowers from my sis Jodi which I was able to enjoy for weeks, they got prettier and prettier. I got new scrapbook albums from me mom and dad which got me wanting to get busy on me books! They also got me the coolest flip flops which say Amy Jo on them! I got a visit from my friend Sarah and she made me the cutest mother/daughter aprons with a cook book which got me in the mood to bake! I swear everytime I am around her I learn of a new talent she has! To end the day Austin took me to dinner in my new Dodge Nitro! So I know I am now almost 28 and a half but I wanted to say thank you again for the e-mails, texts and special gifts on my birthday! You all made it special!

I can't believe on May 12th one of my best friends turned 10. He is always willing to go horse riding with me or help me clean the house. He can wear my shoes now even though they are a little tight. He enjoys riding, roping, 4H, skateboarding, scouts, basketball, friends, shooting, fishing, and basically anything outside. I can't believe how fast time flies. I hope he will always want me around and want to go riding with me!! I love you Owen!!

So today is Jodi's Birthday. She is absolutly one of the most TALENTED people I have ever known! She has more ENERGY than most kids I know! She can see one of the ugliest pieces of furniture or clothing and make it BEAUTIFUL! When you get to hang out with her you are sure to have a FUN time! I can't believe that five years have already flown by. Having twins has been such a fun and enjoyable experience I wouldn't change it for the world. I only wish every mother could experience the joys of best friends worst enemies=TWINS!

This year was a little crazy and the TWINS got to celebrate their birthday not once, not twice but three times, I only hope they don't expect this every year!!

The first time took place @ my moms were we also celebrated my Mom, Dad, Kaylee, Natalee, Dana and of course Gage and Gracie's birthday. Yes April is like Christmas for the Bryant family. Then they got to celebrate with Sarahs little girl Shelby whose birthday is the same day as theirs. So thank you Sarah and Beth but most of all Shelby for sharing your cake and candles with Gage and Gracie. Then on their actual birthday, Austin and I had to make one of the quickest trips to California that we only made it home in time for cake and balloons. But it was great. So here are some pictures from all three parties plus some from when they were first born just so you can see how much they have grown. Happy Birthday again Gage and Gracie I love you.

Spring Break 2009

For the trip my mom gave each of the kids $10 to spend in California, this is what Gracie got with her money, a bubble blower.

In February I went to California with my Mom, Trina and Jodi. We had so much fun getting our hair done and watching movies in the motel room. (thanks again Jodi)

We got to hang out o the pier,

We even got my Mom to ride a roller coaster!!,

This was Owen's forth year playing BASKETBALL, and he absolutely LOVES it. It is so FUN to watch him get better every year, and watch as his SKILLS increase. You wouldn't believe how INTENSE a BASKETBALL GAME of forth graders can get. Today was his last GAME that we will be able to go to since we are going out of town for SPRING BREAK! I want OWEN to know how PROUD I am of him. When it comes to BASKETBALL this kid plays his HEART out. He also SCORED quite a few POINTS. We definitely look forward to next year. Way to go Owen #12.

Cheer Part 2

Last week I signed Gracie up to cheer with the High School Cheer Leaders again, only this time it was for a Basketball game. So all last week she had cheer practice and then on Friday she was able to cheer at the Game. Show Low played Round Valley, in the beginning they had the game won but by the end they lost, Poor Show Low, anyway the half time show was cute, with all the little Cougar Cheer Line which included Gracie and my nieces, Kaylee, Hannah, and Natalee. Gracie loves to be in the center of attention.

Even before Christmas Owen has been saving up his money. He wasn't really sure what he wanted to buy, but after he got quite a bit of money for Christmas he decided he wanted a gun. A 22 Henry leveraction rifle. So on Saturday we took him to buy it and then we all went out shooting. He is so excited to take the gun saftey course and also put in for turkey and deer hunting.

10 Years and more in LOVE than ever!!

It's hard to believe that we have already been married for 10 years! In some ways it seems like just yesterday I was only 17,pregnant, and marrying my highschool sweetheart, and in other ways it seems like forever ago. All I know is that 10 years, three kids, three moves, seven jobs for Austin and three jobs for me, countless pets, and even building a house together, we have only grown to love each other more. This year for our anniversary we went to the Santa Monica beach in CA. Even though it was Janruary the weather was absolutly gorgeous. Note to self:(when going to the beach always wear swimming suit under clothes even if you think it might be cold)Sure it got a little chilly when the sun went down and in the mornings, but the days were wonderful. Watching the sun set was not only romantic but absolutly magical. On the beach you also see people meditating, this guys was in this pose for about an hour. We also spent time on the 3rd St. Promanade. Which is a block off street that goes about 3 blocks with shops, bistros, and lots of free entertainment. Another must if you visit the Santa Monica area. And of course what is a beach without a pier?? The Santa Monica Pier is not only home to Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. (an amazing resturant) but also has it's own little amusment park. You can fish or even rent a bike to ride along the pier and beach. And last but not least there is the motel room with ocean view. The night before we left we went on Priceline and got an amazing deal on a room just one mile from the Ocean and the view was breathtaking. The first day there was alot of clouds and polution but it cleared up for the second two days and was wonderful. We will definetly go on priceline again, and are already planning to take the kids during the summer. So I want to say THANK YOU to my amazing husband for not only a wonderful weedend but for 10 wonderful years.

CHRISTMAS MORNING OWEN WOKE UP A T 6;20 AND WE MADE HIM GO BACK TO SLEEP FOR ANOTHER 30 MINUTES. THEY LOVED OPENING PRESENTS AND WHEN WE WERE DONE WE WENT TO MY MOMS FOR BREAKFAST AND ONCE EVERYONE GOT THERE WE OPENED OUR STOCKINGS. WE ALWAYS GET LOTS OF GOOD LITTLE THINGS. THEN IT WAS TIME TO GO TO TAYLOR AND VISIT AUSTINS FAMILY WERE WE HAD A TURKEY/HAM DINNER WITH ALL OF THE TRIMMINGS. IT WAS DELICIOUS. SCINCE IT WAS TO WET AND TOO MUCH SNOW AT OUR HOUSE THE KIDS FINALLY GOT TO FIDE THEIE NEW QUAD THEY GOT FOR CHRISTMAS. THIS YEAR WE WENT A LITTLE EASY ON THE PRESENTS AND IT SEEMED LIKE THE KIDS HAD JUST AS MUCH FUN IF NOT MORE. I THINK WE ENJOYED MORE OF THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR AND I HOPE TO DO THE SAME NEXT YEAR. HOPE EVERYONE HAD A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR.

This year was the longest we waited to put up our tree, we usually do it the weekend after Thanksgiving but this year it didn't go up until Dec. 17th. I definitely think it helps bring in the Christmas spirit. My kids also enjoyed getting to sleep in the living room with the Christmas lights on.

They were actually sledding down more of a manure/mud hill than snow but they had fun anyway. Owen did talk Gracie into helping him decorate the tree outside.

There is nothing better than getting up and looking outside to find a blanket of white on the ground. That's when you turn on the local radio station to hear that school is two hours delayed and than for the announcer to come back on and say it's been cancelled all together. Then everything relaxes and slows down and everyone ends up getting all bundled up. So here's to the first snow day of the year!!

When you hear the word HOME what do you think?? I know for me it's the house I grew up in and now the house that my kids are growing up in. I think for alot of people a house is just a house until you put a loving family in it to make it a home, and then even a stranger can enter and it feels homey. Well Austin and I just got back from a quick road trip and we were both hung up on all of the "homeless" people we saw. It breaks my heart to know that they not only have a roof over their head but they probly don't even have a family. I know some of them chose this kind of life, but I also think there are those who didn't. With Thanksgiving just passing I can't help but be thankful for a warm fire and a roof over my head with a loving family inside. What more does anyone really need??

I can't believe the Holidays are already here. I have so much to be thankful for, Living in a free country, the soldiers that are fighting to keep it that way, my husband that is also my best friend and great dad and hardworker for his family and has a great job, my kids are healthy, I have a great buisness partner and friend (my mom), I have amazing friends and I get to keep in touch with most of them via blogspot, I get to eat turkey dinner with family, but nomatter all the things I think of that I am thankful for my heart always ends up thinking of my family. Okay, I know its been a few days. Things have been crazy around here. Anyway, I really liked the movie. I'll admitt not as good as the book but definetly worth the wait. I called Jodi and told her I was leaving Austin for Edward. (Just JOking a girl can always dream right?)I can't wait for the next movie to come out. I never thought I would be into the whole vampire thing but I also thought I would never read a big book either. It was fun getting tickets early and going to watch it with Trina and my Mom, I only wish I had a BITE ME shirt to wear. We also set by an awesome group of girls (Jill Shelly and her friends). FINDING OUT THE REAL ME

For my birthday this year my sister Jodi got me the first Twilight book and I remember thinking she doesn't even know who I am, when is the last time I read a book?? Especially a book with 498 pages and no pictures. But that same week I went to the Pheonix Zoo for an overnight (yes I said overnight) fild trip with Owen and I figured I would give it a try. Well I guess my sister knows me better than I know myself because I was hooked in the first chapter. Not only did I read that whole book but also the second two within a month and I went crazy waiting for Breaking Dawn to come out. In the meantime I also got my hands on The Host and I loved it as well. I don't know who I surprised more, Austin, my mom, or me. Austin couldn't believe I was crying in them either. I found myself wanting to read more and when I heard about MIDNIGHT SUN (if you haven't read it it's a must and is EDWARD'S version of TWILIGHT)I was burried in my computer(that's the only way to read it right now). So now I am SOOOOO EXCITED for TWILIGHT to come out. I have also been craving another good book to read so when I went to check out Stephanie Meyers website and found her recommendation for THE HUNGER GAMES I decided to give it a try and I'll addmit it wasn't as good as TWILGHT but I still couldn't put it down. I never thought I would be one who could crave a good book in a quiet room but hey that's me and I guess Jodi knew it all along. So if you know of any other good books please let me know.

Well, the elections definetly didn't go the way I was hoping for. But listening to McCains speach still made me proud to live in this free country. I am also proud to say I am from Arizona the state that is home of a very classy man. He made me feel at peace and also have hope that this "change" might be for the better and bring this country together and help us out of this major economy crisis.Like Owen said nomatter who wins it will be historical, If McCain wins it will be the first female Vice President and if Obama wins it will be the first African American President. One thing that is for sure I don't think I will ever forget this day and I am pretty sure Owen won't either. So I am try ing to be positve, and I know for sure that I will always be PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN WERE AT LEAST I KNOW I'M FREE.

It seems like Halloween kind of snuck up on us this year,(I think it's because the weather has been beautiful). So we picked our costumes by what we had in the costume box, and this is what we ended up with, Owen an old man, Gracie a Rodeo Queen, and Gage a rodeo Clown. They all looked so cute. Gage didn't want too much makeup on because he was worried about everyone looking and talking to him, so we kept it simple. Gracie kinda scared me because she looks like a natural and is growing up too dang quick. We had so much fun with Owens costume and shaving his head. We took the kids to the Pinedale Fire Dept. for a little carnival and some Trunk or Treating. Owen won best costume and Gracie took second, They both got a $10 Gift Certificate to K-Mart. It's funny how every year they remember more and realize what is going on. Just a reminder to self; start on costumes a little earlier next year.

Carving Pumpkins

The kids had such a fun time carving the pumpkins that they picked from the pumpkin patch.Even though Owen was the only one who would touch the insides Gage and Gracie liked to watch. Austin and Owen ended up with some pretty good ones. Everyone loved the seeds that we roasted too. We will have to do more of those next year.

We could not be prouder of Owen. This is his second year in 4H and he has done so well, learned so much , and has become one amazing cowboy that can outride quite a few. I get to help by being the assistant leader and we decided to give saddles away this year with buckles to the reserve champ. We even managed to keep it a secret all the way up til they brought in the saddles,( thats the pic with the surprised faces) Owen also got a blue ribbon on his record book but I still have to say the highlight of the night was watching him win his new saddle. I am so proud to say he is my cowboy. I also want to thank Shasta for letting be a part of it by helping and for my new braclet she gave to me.

This year Owen, Gage, and Gracie tagged along with me to a few of the barrel races. It is so neat to have your kids intrested in the same things as you. While we were in the Valley we missed the Northern Arizona Barrel Racing Association(NABRA) awards banquet so we just got our awards yesterday. Gage and Gracie were in the leadline class and both got a tote full of grooming stuff, candy and toys along with a halter and leadrope and a trophy. They were so excited. For the youth class Owen didn't place because he only went to a few but he still got a tote with lots of brushes as well.

One of the many reasons I love Austin is because he is always so willing to help and he is such a hard worker. So, after a long morning of unloading hay Austin decided to go help his dad finish roofing his new shed because he don't like the idea of him doing it by himself. I think he enjoys the talks most with his dad when they are working. It's obvious where he picked up on how to be a hard worker.

Loving Fall in the Desert

October 20-25th, 2008
This whole week I was in the Valley to "babysit" my 17 and 11 year old nieces. Which kinda seemed more like a vacation because I got to go shoping, scrapbook, and hang out with these two amazing nieces of mine. Austin and Owen came down on Friday, and he watched the kids for me while I went to dinner with my friend Sarah. She took me to San Tan Flats and we had a blast catching up. Next time we go down I will have to pay back Austin and take him dancing there. Brittney and her friend Brittney took Owen and Bailey to see High School Musical 3 and they loved it. Gage and Gracie played house in this little red car outside and thought it was the coolest thing, not to mention a great sitter, i'll have to see if I can get me ont of them. When Owen finalyy got there I let them get in the water because I was to chicken. The worst part of the whole trip was missing Austin and Owen and then catching up on laundry when I got home.

Cody Hancock Invitaional Bull Riding

Well today was another beautiful day. A perfect day to go watch some Bull Riding and that we did. We had a good time. They had some of the top cowboys around and a really good rodeo clown that did some cool motor cycle riding and funny jokes. I didn't get a picture of the rodeo clown jumping the truck and trailer ( because i was watching to close, i didn't think he was really going to do it.) but he did, the entire truck and trailer. I was pretty impressed. Gage thought it was pretty cool too.

Fall Season

Well, what would FALL BREAK be without a trip to the PUMPKIN PATCH?? The kids had so much FUN @ the WILLIS FARM PUMPKIN PATCH getting to PICK out their own pumpkin. Owen and his friend had WHEEL BARROW races once they picked out the biggest ones they could FIND. Gage and Gracie also wanted a big one until they couldn't pick it up by themselves they decided a little pumkin would be just right. I fell in love with the BLUE PUMPKINS which were actually a greenish gray color so we added it to our little PATCH. We walked away with 53.5 lbs. of pumpkins and also a gourd and some indian corn. I really enjoy the smell of FALL and the colors but I don't like that not far away is winter. Today was a beautiful FALL DAY. To end the day and our FALL BREAK I took the kids to DAIRY QUEEN. This weekend the kids were off for FALL BREAK. So to kill some time we painted (actually we used markers-less messy)LITTLE PUMPKINS. Gage was so FUNNY, he would paint something and then he would have me wash it off, so he could TRY AGAIN. It was a good weekend and I love being able to spend time with my kids.

If I never hear the word Colic it will be to soon. Yesterday morning we woke up to find the Grey Mare (my new barrel horse in training) down. So we gave her a shot of banamine and started walking. she was really bad and kept going down and we would have to jump on her to keep her from rolling and twisting a gut and then she would get up and we would walk her til we couldn't keep her up any more. This went on all day and of course when you need a vet they are out of town or in surgery and can't help. We did any thing and everything we could think of. We walked her until 3;30 all day long she just keept getting worse and worse. She finally just stoped and froze. She wasn't breathing and I think it scared her because she flipped out and fell so hard. She fought as hard as we did all day but I think we found her to late. The whole family pitched in to help, Mom went to work for me and took Owen to and from school, Trina watched the twins for me, and Dad and Austin bless their hearts missed work and were there all day helping with anything they could. We were all tired and worn out by the time it was all over. And thanks to Charlie Brown who came in an instant to barry her befor we had to see her just laying there. So this post is for the Grey Mare, you will be missed. (This is the only picture I could find.)

"Circus Fun"

Yesterday Trina and I decided to take the kids to the circus. The fact that all the kids got a "get in free pass" made it a little nicer to. It was alot of fun. Besides enjoying all of the acts we watched and counted all of the planes that landed at the Show Low airport, all ten. The runway is in the most beautiful spot. Anyway they had a bear an elephant, and some trick horses. They had some really good performers too. I cant belive how quick fall has come this year. I got to thinking about the hollidays coming up and decided I would practice making pie (Austin likes blueberry alot) and you can ask Jodi how many pie crusts i went through last year trying to make one for him. So any way I made a homemade chicken pot pie from scratch and I am so proud of myself because the crust worked on the first try. I think I will try an actual blueberry one tommorrow just to be sure. My whole family loves chicken pot pie and it was gone in a hurry but i did get a pic just for proof that it turned out.

On Tuesday Gracie joined the lil' cougar cheer line. They had practice Tues.- Thurs. and then last night we went to the football game for her to cheer @ half time. Talk about going back ten years. It brought back so many memories being at the game. There was 170 girls cheering @ half time. Gracie loved it and wants to be a cheer leader when she gets bigger.

This has been a pretty good week for the Perkins family, can't complain any.There was lots of working, visiting with family from out of town ( Owen got pickied up early to go on a horse ride with his Uncle Cade), Gracie had dance class, And yesterday was the last barrel race of the year and my horse did really well considering he hadn't been rode for at least a week. And then we went to dinner and dancing with some friends last night, so like I said we can't complain any.

September 24 2008: Owen had a followup appointment today on his feet. He had both feet opperated on in the Spring but everything is looking great. He is pretty much back to normal.Any way I read this quote today and I really liked it so I decided I would add it to my Blog.
"The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything, they make the best of everything."
So I haopr everyone is happy with what they have.

This is Owen @ the County Fair. He did so good. He amazes me every time he competes, he is always so relaxed, he is a natural. He won 6 first place ribbons, one third and won fourth which put him in first for the high point. I am so proud of him.

Well I did it, I finally made my own blog. I had the best weekend with my old friend Sarah. My wonderful husband watched the kids for me so I could spend all day on Friday with Sarah. We went for a long horse ride just like old times and we even got a little lost on the way home which made it soo much more fun. We packed a lunch and got to visit about anything and everything that friends do. It was so great to have a girls day. then we went to the movies but only after getting a quick greasy hamberger.
